FUNERAL

Ceremony

Saying goodbye to someone we love can be hard. I believe that even in grief, there can be quiet richness in the way we remember, honour, and celebrate a life. When met with care and presence, these moments can bring comfort and connection. A well-held funeral, memorial, or celebration of life becomes a space of healing — a moment to express love, share stories, and find strength together.

I have been a registered celebrant since 2015, and over the years I’ve learned that ceremony has the power to hold us through life’s most significant moments, from the joy of weddings to the tenderness of farewells. My role is to walk alongside you through this time with warmth, calm, and professionalism.  I will listen to your wishes and guide you through each step, helping you shape a ceremony that feels true to your loved one and your family’s needs. Each life is unique, and together we’ll create a farewell that reflects that — whether formal, relaxed, uplifting, traditional, contemporary, spiritual, or secular.

My aim is to make the process as easeful as possible, so that on the day you can be fully present, comforted in knowing that the details are held and the tone feels right.

Because a farewell, when held with heart and intention, can be not only a time of sorrow — but also a celebration of life and love.

Offerings & prices

Every farewell is different, just as every life is unique. Some families wish for a local gathering here on Waiheke; others prefer a service in a funeral home or other location in Auckland. Whichever you choose, I’m right here on the island to meet with you and carry out all preparations locally. My role is to make this process as easeful as possible — listening to your wishes and helping you shape a ceremony that feels true and fitting.

Next Steps

It’s important that you feel I’m the right person for you. A conversation over the phone can help you decide whether my approach feels like the right fit for your family. There’s no charge for this — it’s simply a chance to connect, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work. My aim is to make this process as calm and supportive as possible, so you can focus on what truly matters: remembering, honouring, and celebrating a life.

Financial Consideration
I know that arranging a farewell can bring many unexpected costs. My fees reflect the time and care that go into creating a meaningful ceremony, but if finances are a genuine barrier, please feel free to reach out in confidence — I’m always open to finding a way that works.
